The device is equipped with a roll that contains the bags and a cutter that cuts them. Vacuum sealing the food and sealing the bags is done automatically. A drip tray that is dishwasher compatible and removable allows the device to collect any excess liquids, if there are any.

It offers the possibility to preserve food for a duration 5 times longer than usual. Its use is easy: just open the machine, unroll the length of bag needed, and the machine automatically cuts the bag. Then, you close it, place your food in the bag, put it in the designated slot, press a button, and voilà, the device does the rest. If the food you want to preserve is fragile, you just need to use the manual suction speed to take care of it. Additionally, it is a very useful piece of equipment that helps reduce food waste. Another advantage of this device is that cleaning is easy and its power is very high. It can suck between 8 and 11 liters of air in one minute; in other words, speed is its forte. Furthermore, it adds charm to any kitchen; it integrates easily as if it has always been there.

After testing, I can tell you that the FoodSaver v2860 vacuum sealing device is a real gem, even though I regret that it is only suitable for occasional use.
